Passports submitted to Islamabad 2015, please share your time!

officially its ONE bag that is allowed as Cabin Baggage or Carry On Baggage, which must not exceed 7kg.

in addition to that, I have spoken to emirates official in emirates office at Karachi, they have confirmed me that I can separately carry my laptop in another small or laptop bag, which can be a cross type or carry on or backpack, must not exceed 2.5kg (cos normally laptops weight are around under 2.5 to 3 kg including charger).

the point in saying this is.......u can easily carry 7kg of goods in ur hand trolley or hand carry.......and can carry ur laptop separately in another laptop bag. but make sure that in that laptop bag there should be only laptop and its accessories. its not like u stuff it with ur regular things and make it heavy beyond 3kg. in that way they can deny it. so by keeping ur laptop in separate bag u can save space and capacity of ur hand carry and can put some stuff in it instead of laptop.

I know its not a big deal......laptop is hardly 2.5 kg........by saving that space we cannot win any war......but yes when immigrating 1st time, under so much pressure and restricted and limited allowance of weight.......even 2 kg will matter. u can carry some of ur valuables in those 2 kgs.

now imagine if 6 people are travelling.......6*2 = 12kg!.......combines they saved 12 kg and they can put in goods of that weight into their hand carries.

if still in confusion, call emirates office and ask them if u can separately carry ur laptop or not.

the important thing is that u can only purchase 3 extra bags online at discount rates..........rest of the bags u have to purchase at airport on standard rates.

Anyhow by the Grace of Allah Almighty I've already received an email for submitting Passports of me and my family. I've a question and to get the answer I googled them and got to know about this forum.

-->> They've asked for the updated information chart although I'd submitted it about a month ago. Now they say "The Updated Information Chart in Appendix A fully completed for you and each accompanying family member." What does it imply? Do they need only 1 updated info chart or 4 (as I've 2 kids) ?

Buddy they just need your 1 updated info chart not 4 charts.. You just write down or type the Data of your self your spouse and both kids on 1 updated info chart ..

I've received PP request. Can the principal applicant go alone with passports to VFS or do we need to take spouse & kids with us there?

Principal applicant can carry all passports. I did the same. However to pick passports you will require authority letter from your spouse along with original ID card and B form of kids and consent letter from both parents

I received the PPR from CIC. my family is in Multan.Should they send there passports directly to Islamabad via courier or via VFS ?

There is no VFS office in Multan

What is the fees for visa stamping ?
