Should I send copies of my expired passport with my PR card renewal application?
Let me explain: I have a passport that expired on 2006 and another one that I renewed on 2013. I sent already an application last June with copies of the new passport only. The translator told me that because the other passport expired on 2006, that is, before the last 5-year period I need to prove I lived in Canada, then it didn't make sense to send it too; however, I need to send an urgent application as I'll travel next November and the CIC agent told me on the phone today that if I sent my application on June they wouldn't open it for at least the next two months, so my only option is to apply urgently. That means I have to send a whole application again with copies of the documents, proof of payment and travel.
I just don't want to risk this process and delay it.
