I submitted my passport to NDVO on 16 March 2012 and till then there is no update on my ecas nor heard anything from NDVO regarding processing of my file.

Once queried through case enquiry form in July 12 I was told that your medical results are pending review by visa officer. After that I raised another query but no response even after 28 working days has passed.

Now I requested NDVO to return my passports for a short trip overseas for a vacation and still no response. What should I do now in this scenario?

I fear NDVO has lost my passport.

All senior members are requested to respond.

This is scary situation :o. Hope they wont enact a new bill which gives them authority to throw foreign passports to trash.

Don't make me more scared by giving a new possibility of creating a new bill.

All I want is action that I should take to have my passports back without withdrawing my case. I want to make sure my passports aren't lost.

I appreciate response from senior Members.

Hi navneet were you having long travel history or something like that.
as most the cases with your timeline have got closed long time back after getting their PP back.
I think firstly order caips notes for your case as it will give you picture behind the curtail and them shot a mail to ndvo.
as with in 2 months even medicals will be on verge of getting expired.so go ahead and do both the things asap.
take care i hope and really wish that coming JAN bring your PP back with MAPLE LEAF on it :D :D 8)

I do not have any such history. But my wife who is PA in our case had TB detected in late 2009 and she was fully cured by mid of 2010. We sent previous chest x-ray along with the certificate issued by doctor under whom my wife was treated.

I do agree with you that I should now order CAIPS notes. Lets see what is happening behind the scenes.

I am really depressed now. Not sure what to do. Neither I have my passports nor any clarity from VO. Can anyone guide me in this regard besided CAIPS notes?

As you got just 3-4 month left for your medical to get expire , please do not ask them to return your passport without visa .
Dont worry if they lost your pp then you can get new one within 2 -4 weeks but if they return your PP without Visa and then you send those back after few weeks , then what if your Visa got late and medical got expired.

Keep paitance. Thats all you can do. I m sure this not you want to listin.

Get your CAIPS notes. That will give you idea abot what going on your file.
Hope you get visa soon.

Dear Friend No need to be depressed
Just drop a case specific inquiry about your passports

Dear Navneet,

There have been number of instance where they have returned passport before 1 month of medical expiry.. so do not worry at all but try coordinating with them over emails. keep sending gentle reminders about your status and your situation back home

i am sure you will have your PP back along with Maple leave stamp soon

God bless you..

If VO calls for PP without giving a clean chit on Medicals, it's inappropriate and causing long time holding of PP which is unfair on their part.

there must be logic behind why and when PP must be called which is missing here...

best wishes!
