PASSPORT VALIDITY

Hi all,

Can anyone please help me.

I am holding Indian passport with expiry date 15th January 2016.

My current visa is valid till 12th March 2015.

I will extend visa for 1 more year.

So, will I get visa till 12th march 2016 or till my passport expires which is 15th January 2016?

Is it advisable to apply for renewal of passport first or to apply for visa extension?

Renew visa first otherwise you will be in Canada without status and potentially no way to restore it depending on how long you wait and it takes.
