The validity requirements depends on what is written on your PPR.

My PPR mentioned 6 months.

Mine is 12 months. But can't renew now since my passport still has 10 months validity as per my home country laws. What can I do?

Write up a quick letter of explanation stating that fact and send it in with your passport.

I think they are very lenient.

Good luck!

Hi Stylove,

I am in a similar situation as you. Passport expiring in 11 months and got the passport request stating 12 months validity is needed.

What happened in your case? Did they stamp the passport with 10 months validity?

Hi Stylove,

I am in similar situation, pp expiring in 8 months and requirement in PPR letter is 12 months.
Although I already sent the passport and waiting for their response.

Meanwhile, could you please share your situation did you get the VISA stamped ?

Exactly 1 year from the Medicals (or Passport Expiration) whichever is earlier.
