Passport submission for visa

I am pnp applicant of 14th oct 2014,
on 7th feb 2017 I got passport request
from NDVO, but I am in Canada and my wife
is in india can you pls advice how to submit
our passport

Is it allow to send passport internationally from Canada through post or courier? Or, if any friend or relative is coming India, give him the packet to send by Speed-post.
