Hi, we came to Canada as refugees. We held 2 travel documents between the period we had a hearing and got accepted as convention refugees and before submitting a citizenship application. IRCC took away our passports from our home country when entering Canada, and they gave us certified copies. After we applied for travel document, we didn't receive our original passports back.

We have been requested to send scanned copies of passports & travel documents we held throughout our eligibility period for the citizenship application.

Do we need to provide scanned copies of our passports from our national country that we no longer officially hold but only have scanned copies of? Officially they are not expired, but they were not in our possession during our eligibility period. If we provide the scanned version of its copy, do we need to translate the stamps that are on there that may not be in English or French?

Yes, provide copies with IRCC Stamp and Notice of Seizure. Include copies of the 2 RTDs. You dont need to translate any stamp that is not in English or French, Nop
