passport requested

i recived my PPR just wondering if this means if i´m pretty close or how long will they keep my passport for.

my office is in buenos aires argentina.

Hola !!

Well that's good news, and should be fast once they get your passport they stamp it and return it.
I'm argentinian, we've been with my wife to an interview in September, the woman told us it's approved we just had to pay the Right of Permanent Residence in Canada. She told us the confirmation of the payment takes a month or so, it will almost two months soon !!

Can I ask you when did you pay the RoPR fee ??

they requested my passport with 2 recent photoes and recieved it 2 months a go. and im still waiting . what could caused this delay
i noted people they have thier passports back within 2 to 6 weeks. but i dont understand why they still havenot send it back for 2 months, any advice or ideas and is this normal
p.s i emialed them many times and no answer..

this happened to me too they requested my passport, 2 recent photos, and they also requested my rcmp background check that i still haven't gotten.
Also does this mean that when they ask for your passport they won't do an interview?

it really depends on your VO - some VO will ask the passport at the beginning of the process, so it doesn't mean anything for the interviews, some will wait, finish the assessment, and then ask for passport. Not sure for BA, as I am not familiar with it - doesn't seem to be many applicants, I haven't seen a thread for it. Good luck,

well.. i have been waiting for alomst 17 months since my file is in cairo visa office. i also passed the processing time for that office. cairo visa office asks for passports at the end. and it usually take 3 to 4 weeks max to send it back. but in my case . been waiting for 2 months and my ecase still in process and they havenot sent it back. emailed them and no answer.. don't know whats the deal here.
