Today, I got a message from myCIC account that they request my passport and decision has been made. That's it, no approval or rejection. What does that mean?

Plus they said the expiry date of my passport must be valid for duration of stay which is 2015, but my passport expires 2014 and i have to issue a new one. Could that be a problem?

Congratulations, You have nearly got the visa. Just drop your passport to them and will get your visa. If your passport validity is 2014 then you will get visa upto that time. So better you get a new passport if you can.

I think you can go for an emergency passport renewal, it should not take very long.

UAE. How long does it take to for visa to be stamped?

In my case it took one week. Standard time frame is 1-4 weeks.

hey dipta. do you remember how long after your passport request you received the letter of introduction in your myCIC account? also did you receive the letter of introduction before or after you received the passport with the visa?

I have received the passport request letter from CIC which mentions the below:

" This is in reference to your application for temporary residence.

A decision has been made on your application. We require your passport to finalize processing your application. Passport requirements • Please provide your passport or travel document, with a copy of this letter. • There must be at least one blank page in your passport. • Your passport must be valid for the duration of your expected length of stay in Canada. • Please note that we cannot issue a visa beyond the expiry date on the passport. Your passport must be received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada within 30 days from the date of this letter. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application. Please ensure that a copy of this letter is included with your passport."

What does it mean? Does it mean Ive got my visas? Ive already submitted the passport at local VFS office and they have sent it for stamping. While I was browsing the canadavisa.com blog, I came across couple of blogs which mentions that people have been asked for passport request along with submission of photos and experts such as you have replied saying that their visa has been approved. However, in my case, I havent been asked for submitting photos. Should this be any cause of concern? Does it mean my visa hasnt been approved?
