passport request

Hello, this is Sadaf here from Quetta,Pakistan.I have applied for spouse visa for Canada.I was asked for my passport for visa by Canadian High Commission Islamabad.It has been almost two months that i have send my passport but i haven't got it back yet.Can any one please tell me,how long will it take to get ma visa.??

What is the hurry that the passport needs to be returned so urgently at this time?
