Passport Request - Urgent Info/Help needed

Hi,

I have applied for Canadian PR from the US and received Passport Request.
I have sent the Passport to them with the photographs. Unfortunately, I have sent wrong photographs which did not match the specifications.
They resent the passport back to me with an attached letter.
Letter dated Dec 08, 2017 asking me to return the passport within 15 days from that date. But I received the passport only on Dec 15, 2017 and I am sending it today Dec 22, 2017 with new photos.
Will it be a problem if this reaches CPC Ottawa late, considering the holiday season, delays are quite unavoidable.
I'm worried. Please let me know if anyone has any information regarding this or if anyone happened to be on the same boat before.
