Passport request after medical in H&C

Hi All,

I recently reviewed GCMS notes for my mother's H&C application. It says medical passed, fees paid but criminality check in progress since 25 Aug 2016.

And, next due date is 16 April 2017 under Application Assignment. Not sure what does that mean.

Can anyone let me know when to expect passport request after medical? Processing office is Niagara BRO, Canada.
It has been more than 45 days since medicals and no update.

It depends on each case, i did my medical/pcc dec 2015 and still waiting, i just received my CSQ last month since I intend to reside in Quebec. Hopefully a ppr soon.

At this point of time when medicals are done and everything else is approved, in my opinion PPR should be same or assigned to queue. May be wrong. I do agree processing time depends on each case but after certain level of processing this shouldn't matter.

Aman, it's not bypass for normal route to obtain permanent residency. For my mom, she has no one to support. No parents, no husband, no property, no job, no kids at back home, two siblings expired and only one remaining is old and sick. On top of that I and my sibling both are in Canada to make the case more solid. If you have similar situation then yes go ahead and hire a lawyer. Otherwise, you will fall short of documentation that is required by H&C bro and your application will fall off. Hope this helps.
