To avoid returning back of your application by CIC vegerivelle and avoid further delay of your PR application. Renew your passport as this was also my case before i applied for OWP and PR i was advised by the CIC call center agent to renew my passport eventhough my old passport still good up to 2012. well..the cic call center agent was right, next year is 2012 and i don't have yet my PR approval.

Or you can submit it now if you are already qualified to apply for OWP/PR and then renew your passport and send it to CIC a copy of your new passport (that's what my friend did - and it works for her)

send your new passport to this address(indicate your client Id number and include a cover letter) And it should be registered mail and required signature.

General correspondence (general inquiries, documents requested by CPC Vegreville, withdrawal requests, additional information):

CPC Vegreville
6212-55th Avenue
Vegreville, AB
T9C 1W5

thanks boyzone2 and honey...i think i will follow your suggestion honey...if it worked for your friend, i hope it will work for me too... God bless us all.

Same thing happened with me, my passport expired while my application was in process, and cic called me asking me to fax a copy of my new passport.
