Passport Renewal - Necessary or Not - Post Divorce

Hi,

I am about to submit profile for Express Entry.

Divorce has been finalized recently, however my passport has my ex-wife's name in it as well. Wish to know if I can go ahead and submit my profile with current passport (with spouse name) or is it necessary to renew my passport (without spouse name) before applying as divorced immigrant.

Renewal process will delay my application further (had been waiting for divorce finalization since long)

Certificate of divorce should suffice.

Canada doesn't list spouses in passports, it seems to be something only some countries do.
