Passport Renewal intimation to CIC

Hi All ,

Hope you all are good . I am an Indian citizen living in Canada on a PR .I recently applied for my Passport renewal at BLS . My question is do I need to inform CIC when I receive my new Passport . Or does it go to their records directly . Let me know if anyone has come across this situation .Also if the answer is to inform CIC then what is the platform or the process for it
