Passport Picture Change for kids after submitting the full docs to CHC

Hi All,

My status is received by visa office.
The question is I have my kids passport which is having a picture when my kids were 6 months old.
I believe I have to get the passport picture change before getting the visa.
Can I change it before getting the PPR?
I will get the new passport with new picture with new passport number. Isn't it the problem that I have submitted the old passport number.

Please suggest what to do to save the time?

no its not going to b a problem. Just send new passport's copy with cover letter to chc once done. I did the same. It will serve the purpose

No need to change passport. They will request new photos with ppr.

Hi me2Land,

I think when CHC sends the PPR with instruction then it has been mentioned there that passport of kids having pictures not older than one year.

I was in similar situation but nothing about passport change for my kids was mentioned when I got my ppr. Now I don't know if the rules are different from CIC to CIC. Mine was Buffalo.

Hi Rink,

I had the same issue & after submitting the passports CHC asked me to get a new passport for my baby in 30 days. I would say that u better get the new passport for ur baby and it doesn't matter if the passport number changes, u will have to send both the new & old passport with a covering letter about the changes. I best way would be get the new passport in Tatkal. You will get it in 7 days and that is how i did.

i am confused from the answers, do we need an uodated pic of kids on passport before pocessing, my kid has the picture from when she was 1 month old, i am current;ly updating all my documents so should i get her uated as well since she is almost 3 now.
