Biometrics request. Which passport to use (old/new)?

Hello, I got biometrics request.

However i send my passport for renewal, after submitting my PR application.

I'll be receiving my new passport next week.

Should I update my new passport details in the webform, wait for acknowledgement from IRCC and then go for biometrics?
or
Can I take my old passport for biometrics (since I referenced my old passport, and that's what the biometric letter is asking)? I'll still submit the webform to update the application, but won't wait for IRCC to acknowledge?

Please help me out.

The biometrics instruction letter will have the necessary information (eg UCI#) for IRCC to link it to your file when submitted. So use either passport.

It's usually a good idea to submit info about the new passport and scan of the biopage just for info - but it's not really that critical either (people renewing passports is routine). Still recommended because in some cases might affect how long the immigration visa is issued for (if anyone's not paying attention).
