Hi,

As I have read in this forum, some people got their children PP back due to current photo not matching with the one on PP.

Now I need suggestion(s) in my case. My daughter was 1.5 years old ( in April 2010, when I applied) and now after 3 years should I get her photo changed to save time or wait to hear from NDVO. Her face is almost same, just that her hair are bit longer now.

Thanks to all who take time to reply.

Satnak.

You can send new photos according to the photo specification, with your file number and with a covering letter.

Thanks Sir for responding. But my question was should I change photos in my daughters' passport?

A minor child is issued with an Indian Passport that has maximum validity of 5 years from the day of issue or till 15 years of age, whichever is less, because the physical appearance of the child changes considerably over five years.
You only need to change passport with new photos on expiry of the current passport.

Visa office need the latest pictures. Not necessary for exact matching with passport photo. They are aware of the fact that a minor will change the physical appearance quicker than an adult. So no problem, you may send new photos with proper marking.
