Passport issue - please help

Hi.

We did our landing in December, but we are not planing to move to Canada until December of 2018. My passport though will expire in June of 2018. I also do not have the PR card yet, only signed and stamped COPR.

Question is: If I get a new passport, how do I use it with the COPR to enter Canada, since passport number in COPR will be different?

apply for new passport and keep your old passport with you when you land in Canada.
If border services asks any question, show them your old passport.

I'm not sure but I have seen Information that you need to request for Travel dokument if you want to Travel and don't have Pr card yet... Maybe some more experienced member could elaborate on that

Thank you guys. I can definitely try to keep the old passport if they allow me.

I am not currently in Canada, so I am not sure what travel document I would need.

You can use your COPR to enter Canada if you are doing so at a land border in a private carrier or on foot. Passport numbers change, so that isn't an issue.

If you are flying to Canada, you will need to apply for a PRTD.

As long as you enter by private carrier or on foot, yes.
