Passport Expiry and PR Application in process

Hello Everyone,
I landed up in a situation wherein, I have already applied for my permanent residency in Canada. The immigration has received my file on February 19th 2016 and is under processing now. But, I have an issue, my passport expires in June 2016. I'm currently on an implied status. As my LMIA was rejected in the past, so I had applied for a work permit based on my previous offer letter from the employer. My PR medical is already done. Is there anyyy way I can get my passport renewed or extended , before I get the passport request from Immigration leading to my Permanent residency finally ??????


Any help regarding this would be really appreciable

Renew your passport and once they request your passport to stamp the visa, you send the new one thats it.

Thanks a lot for your reply bud. Appreciate it. But on what grounds can I get my passport renewed ? I'm on implied status but working full time. What all requirements do I need to fulfill to get a new or already existing passport renewed ?
