my passport expiry date is dec 2014 but i applied for course who completion date is may 2015
as it is not possible to renew your passport before 6 months of expiry date so i applied with my old passport
could vo give me study permit of 2 years or not
those who do not know about this please don't reply to confuse me.... i am already tensed..

u will get study permit till the expiry date of ur passport u will have to renew ur passport and then get ur study permit extended

You should have got your passport renewed before applying. You just have to give an application to Passport Office for early renewing. You'll get permit till your passport expiry date.

actually its all because of my agent she told me that won't be a problem...... she also told me it is not possible to renew my passport before 6 month of expiry date.............
so i applied with my old passport.....

No issues .. i too got my visa , but it is valid till the expiry of my passport. If u can renew it now, it is best option otherwise you can get it renewed from canada aswell .. dont worry !!

i think ur agent is right u cant renew ur passport but there may be certain conditions where u can but i am not sure ...dont worry once u get visa it will be a little hassle but straight forward procedure to extend visa/study permit...

Actually you can get your passport renewed before 1yr. of expiry.
You shouldn't worry, it isn't much trouble renewing your passport and extending your study permit even from inside Canada. And all the best for the visa.
