Passport Copy vs country of residence-permanent residence card

Hi All,

in the documents upload section, we are required to upload a copy of our VALID passport only. However i dont live in my country of origin, and the country of residence doesnt issue a Visa within the passport anymore, it is a separate ID card now.

My question is, should i scan it and merge it with the passport copy as well? or it really is not required to prove my residency in another country anyways?

I believe you would have to upload a valid travel document--which is what permits you to travel, rather than prove your residency.

However, go ahead and merge your passport and permanent residence permit if you wish, or include the residency in the Letter of Explanation slot.
