Hello,
I have been trying to find an answer to my question for couple of days with no luck. My parent would like to come visit me for couple of months. it is not the first time she comes but my concern is her passport and visa validity.
They expire October 2019 and she is planning on coming from mid June and leave by mid August
the date of return is before the expiry date for both her passport and her visa but would a border officer deny her entry to Canada because the passport and visa are valid for less than six months? I tried contacting the embassy of Canada to my country and they were not 100% what can happen they said it is the decision of the border officer
Thank you

Canada does not have a six-month validity rule. It is visa officer's discretion, but unless your parents are super sketchy and a risk of overstaying, I wouldn't worry about it. She may have her passport stamped with a less than six month stay authorized.
