Passport and PGWP query (einfield)

Hey,
So i have query which is that my passport and LOA expiry is 2015, October and my expected graduation date is in August 2015. Can you tell me whether i should renew my passport right now so i can increase the expiry date of my OCWP (to be on the safe side should my pgwp does not come in time) which is till August 2015 as well?
I am in second year undergrad.

1. Your choice. Better if you can renew your PP now. Your can't renew your OCWP, it's valid as long as your SP.
