Good Luck, Bad Luck, We'll See...
There once was a Taoist farmer. One day the Taoist farmer's only horse broke out of the corral and ran away. The farmer's neighbors, all hearing of the horse running away, came to the Taoist farmer's house to view the corral. As they stood there, the neighbors all said, “Oh what bad luck!” The farmer replied, “Good luck, bad luck, we'll see.”

About a week later, the horse returned, bringing with it a whole herd of wild horses, which the Taoist farmer and his son quickly corralled. The neighbors, hearing of the corralling of the horses, came to see for themselves. As they stood there looking at the corral filled with horses, the neighbors said, “Oh what good luck!” The farmer replied, “Good luck, bad luck, we'll see.”

A couple of weeks later, the Taoist farmer's son's leg was badly broken when he was thrown from a horse he was trying to break. A few days later the broken leg became infected and the son became delirious with fever. The neighbors, all hearing of the incident, came to see the son. As they stood there, the neighbors said, “Oh what bad luck!” The farmer replied, “Good luck, bad luck, we'll see.”

At that same time in China, there was a war going on between two rival warlords. The warlord of the Taoist farmer's village was involved in this war. In need of more soldiers, he sent one of his captains to the village to conscript young men to fight in the war. When the captain came to take the Taoist farmer's son he found a young man with a broken leg who was delirious with fever. Knowing there was no way the son could fight, the captain left him there. A few days later, the son's fever broke. The neighbors, hearing of the son's not being taken to fight in the war and of his return to good health, all came to see him. As they stood there, each one said, “Oh what good luck!” The farmer replied, “Good luck, bad luck, we'll see.”

Hahaha! Same here! I used to check eCAS every half an hour, then I signed up for the eCAS checking service, so I talked myself into checking it only twice a day (once when I wake up, and once before I go to bed) just in case the system "misses" something.
I had also started reading appeal cases on CanLii, but I quit doing that- after a couple of hours worth of reading, I would worry myself sick with silly what-if scenarios! Just decided I need more positive thinking instead of negativity.

So when I am not doing those, I work, exercise (I'll be superfit by the time he finally gets his visa), read, bake, and then we spend a considerable amount of time together on Skype everyday. We have 12 hours difference, so it's kinda tough sync-ing your life this way, but we manage. We basically pretend we live together, just w/o the actual physical presence. Unfortunately, I can't make him wash the dishes through Skype though :P

I'm just grateful they don't count time on the CIC website, the other immigration forums or the hours and hours I've spent reading case law.

Wow perhaps I am not as addicted as I thought only 10 days but since my app went to 3 months+ for 2nd stage approval it has got bad. I can only imagine what the next 4 weeks will bring.

OMG 36 days, wow that is some feat.

Yeah, but I'm not sure how it keeps me always logged in, even when my browser is closed. I'm on a mac, and never log out. Just put my machine to sleep every night. So I'm not quite sure what it counts, really. :)

Still, I spend much more time here that I should!

Yes, I found that it got worse and worse for me until I had that COPR in my hand.

i am way far behind than u...
just 4days :D

I dream of the day I could finally check ecas...and I visit CIC website regularly just in case they accidentally update stage1 information more than once a week. :D Yep, I should be patient since I haven't even passed this first stage yet but somehow at work I can't help it!

Other than that I read, knit, watch Flashpoint (I'm totally addicted!) and talk with my hubby :)
(And spend time here obviously)

So who holds the record for time logged in here???

Hmm let's see...
Even though I have hardly began this journey, instead of being depressed, the wait is teaching me to be VERY patience and invest my energy in other things.
I am busy most of the day. I have an 8-5 job so I'm tired by the time I get home anyway.
I am taking swimming lessons ::) (I never learned as a child)
I joined a gym ;) (Winter sucks, I can't go on walks anymore)
I have a guitar and I want to learn some chords for a song (surprise for my husband)
That's basically it...I'm stuck to my phone most of the time lol

LOL I don't think it would be accurate. Since I'm "forever" logged on my phone, the logs don't seem accurate.
