PA's passport will expire in 2021 - Applying for PR

Hello,

I'm sponsoring my common-law partner outland and we have sent all documents and CIC received it on the 15th of April. My partner's passport will expire on January 2021 and if she gets her PR visa, the PR will only be valid until the passport expiration date. We already applied for her new passport, will that create a problem with CIC? Is it just a matter of sending a copy of the new passport?
