Hi , what are the benefits for parwnts sponsoring in Ontario if they cannot be eligible foe any pension plans. Also ohip coverage is not complere such as glasses, dental etc are not covered.

Heavily subsidized healthcare without having ever contributed to the tax base is a pretty big benefit. Yes you will need to provide for your parents which can get quite expensive especially when they are older because many things are not covered by ohip that is why children need to consider whether they can afford sponsorship. Even Canadian citizens have to pay for things like public nursing homes but they have the ability to direct their pension payments. Children would have to pay the $1200+/month fee.
