Under what circumstances is a student considered part time?

For instance, my college has recommended me 3 courses to take on for the first semester. How many credits or courses should one student have to be classified as full time?

It depends on the school and program. The school should be able to tell you if this is considered to be a part time or full time course load.

Part-time studies are 9 credits or less per semester, with the exception of international students, where 9 credits are considered full-time studies. Full-time studies are 12 credits or more.
