Part Time to Full Time Hours. TR to PR Pathway

Hi! My husband worked part time 20hr/week for 3 months while he was on study permit then it was increased to 38hrs/week after he graduated. Should he ask his employer to specify that his hours were 20hr/week for 3 months then increased to 38hrs/week?
