Hi Rajesh,

Have you applied for PR considering your part time experience during ur University studies, since I too am sailing in the same boat and I did my PG in UK after completing my bachelor degree in hotel manageemnt in India. The PG diploma was two years course one year study and one year full time work placement which was part of the course. I am not sure whether this one year full time work placement be considered as a work experience to qualify for PR. I worked 20 hrs per week during studies and 40 hours during full time work placement, I am worried should I move ahead in applying for PR based on this experience.

As per your query I feel you are a IHM student since I too am, can you tell me from which IHM you were into.

Best regards

Yes, it counts.

Part-time jobs during university count for the work requirement as long as you documention showing that your work was in NOC 0, A, or B.

You are correct except that your work need not be paid to qualify you for immigration under FSW.

hy gys,
i am not sure i m right or rong thats why i told to take expert users any ways thanks

pls check again,

For your application to be eligible for processing, you must:

include the results of your official language proficiency test, AND
have a valid offer of arranged employment, OR
have one year of continuous full-time paid work experience in at least one of the occupations listed here

so for the processing we need to show full time paid worker. so i think all the experince has to be paid .

if i m wrong please correct me...
thanks

Hi Babu,

The one year full time work experience in my case is a work placement arranged from the college which was part of my course and was treated as a normal employee with right pay scale, tax deduction and duties and responsibilities given to me was at a supervisory level.

Will this experience be considered to apply for PR with approved AEO.

regards,

RChettiar

Dear RChettiar,

i m not an expert but still i think for the processing we need either job offer or fulltime paid employment. now if u have work experince from ur part of study it shouldnt be a problem as long as u provide them proper job description, your refference letter, contract papper and additional documents which u have.

but my concern about the education u have if thats is 2 years study and out of 2 years u have done 1 year job placement arrangement ........... i think u should get expert comments.

other than that u should be ok mate.
cheers

That means 18.75 hours per week of paid or unpaid work in NOC 0, A, or B. Unpaid work could be an internship, for example.

I think full time is either 37 or 40 hours per week. If it is less, you calculate what percentage it is of 1950 hrs (one full year). My concern reading the question was...if he is stating TWO years of education, but ONE year is in PAID full time employment as a placement from that education, will it count as TWO YEARS or just ONE YEAR of education. It is like double dipping - counting the work hours as education as well. Not an expert, but that is what struck me. Good luck.
