No update really. It’s been 12 months an two weeks since they have received our app.

I contacted my MP and a person his team said that only the security check remains to be processed. Otherwise our file is normal, no problem in sight.

They also told be I should not contact the VO because they don’t have to answer to sponsors directly. So basically, suffer in silence.

I am in the same boat my 12th month mark is today this is so frustrating like why is this taking so long . im sorry to say but i am starting to feel like this is discrimination now. we sent them everything they asked for. Does it really take 12 months to verify a security check. my husband has no criminal record nor has he every left his country of Tunisia. how do i contact my MP, i am from Toronto ?

I am really depressed, just like your husband mine has never been in trouble with the law. If security check does take 8 to 12 months, I won’t have him here until August or January 2020

I don't know why is everything so slow... I get my medical exams passed on 4st October and still nothing... already 5 months in silence...

I don’t think it’s bad and at least it shows that they are working on your file.

I advise that your husband go there in person and pay. 7000 dinar I think my husband paid for the fees. He will have the passport sent back to him through UPS.

In how many days they send it u you back your passport?

In my opinion/ situation it has not, they requested additional documents Feb 6 2019 we sent them Feb 11 2019 and still no response from them. we have now passed our 12 month mark. 12 months and almost 2 weeks now. Ecas says that our application is taking longer than expected, BUT WHY! they have everything they need. I honestly did not think this process would pass the year.

Well I just successfully called CIC about my file. After a 27 minute wait, they said that they don’t know much since the file is being processed in Paris.

They suggested that I email the Paris visa office directly but, apparently, there’s nothing wrong with our application, it’s just processed a bit slow. She told me that few files are processed under 12 months.

Tomorrow is going to be our one year anniversary with CIC.

same here we have passed the 12 month mark. but i have read some stories here, same like us and application sent after mine have been approved. this is what makes it so stressful and depressing, we have no answers. Mine was received March 12 2018. What about you?
