Thank you RYIT!!!

Another question: will my passport be requested if I am from a visa-exempt country? If not, how is it? Will I receive a letter by email or mail? What should I do right afterwards? THANKS.

Your passport will NOT be requested if you are from a visa-exempt country. They may ask for photocopies of your passport but if you already sent them with your initial application and your passport was not close to expiring then they may be happy with the copies you originally sent.

You will receive 2 copies of the COPR by mail.

After you receive your COPR you make your travel arrangements to come to Canada and complete your landing at the airport. If you are already in Canada then you will have to go to the nearest boarder crossing to complete your landing. You must land before the expiry on your COPR.

Thanks RYIT…I guess they would send the COPR to the mailing address I provided in the initial application. In my case I provided my spouse´s address as mailing address and my address in Spain as the residence address. I am getting worried because in the mail I got yesterday they asked me for my addresses from October 2014 to present day. I am currently visiting my spouse in Canada but I live in Madrid, SPAIN. I replied to them letting hem know that my address since October 2014 to present day is … (the one in SPAIN), but I also notified that I am currently visiting my spouse. I am concerned because I do not want to be considered an INLAND applicant since I am visiting my spouse. I hope they won't ask me to resubmit my application INLAND instead of OUTLAND. :(
For those who have been requested additional information or documents: Have you been contacted just one time by the VO Paris? Do they keep on sending emails to request info frequently? Or just send an only one email requesting all they need to complete the application?

They most definitely will NOT ask you to resubmit your file inland. Tonnes of people where both people are living in Canada (legally or illegally) apply for outland. You do not need to be living outside of Canada to file for outland.

As far as if they send multiple requests for documentation or just one I am not sure, hopefully someone else who has gone through Paris already can answer that for you.

SPAIN, does your ECAS say "processing" or does it still say application received?

I'm curious since it is very obvious they are processing it.

Thanks RYIT.

My ECAS says:

Sponsorship: DECISION MADE
Permanent Residence: APPLICATION RECEIVED

In some posts in this forum I have read that many people have landed without getting the status properly updated on ECAS. And I am inclined to think that it is true. As you can see, my application is being processed and ECAS has not changed from APP RECEIVED to IN PROCESS. Maybe in a few days. I will keep you posted guys...Thanks for being extremely helpful and supportive.

;)

Thank to RYIT and Spain for all those very interesting informations.
Do you Know how long you have to land once you received your CORP ?
Lets say Spain receive his CORP while he is visiting his wife in Canada, does it means he just have to print it and cross the boarder with it to become a resident and then he can stay in Canada without having to go back to Spain? Because like French, Spanish do not need visa and they are allowed to be in the country as visitors for max 6 monthes.

I am not sure how long you have to land once your recieve your copr. I am not sure if they all have different lengths of expiry dates or not, but I do know they all of expiry dates.
There would be nothing to print off because they mail you your COPR. So in SPAIN's situation he would either have to fly to spain and pick it up and then fly back with all of his belongings when so he could move here and complete his landing at the airport. OR he could have someone in spain pick up his mail for him and have that person courier his COPR to him and he could drive to the closest us border and land there. Completely up to spain on how he would want to do it. If he was moving here I would suggest to fly home get his stuff and move back because he would not have to pay taxes on moving his belongings when he was landing but would have to do so if he moved his belongings at a later date after already landed.

Hi to all,

I was not able to add my name to the Paris spreadsheet.

I'm a Jan 13 applicant and just got SA today March 26, 2015. Never received AOR.

Will be sending documents for the CSQ along with the SA letter soon.

;D

I'm a June applicant! I was disappointed to see that there haven't been too many applicants on here going through Paris, it's kind of hard to know what their average timeline is.

Best of luck everyone!

Hello , iam from algeria too , and you're right , we dont see applicants going thru paris here cuz most of them speaks French and this forum is all in english , anyway , i see that its too late for me to give you details about going thru Paris office cuz i see you landed , so i'll just say congratulations for You Brother

Hi Rednumeros

We are not all landed unfortunatly so what ever you could share could help.
On French speaking timeline you have all the applicants for Quebec and their process is different that's why I am here...plus I have to practice my English after 3 years speaking 99% French ;)

Hi all,

Good news!! I got my AOR today. That means Outland's moving fast! Fingers crossed that SA and sending out the package to Paris is just around the corner...

When you receive SA make sure you read the letter carefully to ensure the file is transferred to Paris. There have been some people that have had their files held and processed in Mississauga and some who's files were transferred to Ottawa instead of being transferred to Paris.

Best of luck to you!

What's the difference between being processed in Paris and/or Mississauga? Wouldn't it be faster through Mississauga?
