It depends on the individual's file it would be nice that fast but inshallah soon for all us

Sigh...my cousins both had their spouses submit applications in 2014 and 2013 and it got transferred to paris. It took Paris 3-4 months to make a decision. They did outland sponsorship and their spouses were from libya. So Paris was fast back then, i just dont know if they're back logged now.

Hello I am Canadian sponsoring my Libyan Husband as well . Our file has been processing in Paris since March 15 2016 , still no update , lawyer made request for update , nothing ! Called my MP back home , she called and asked for update as well , nothing only its in Process , We did not receive anything ...no additional document request , no notice of Interview if needed , NOTHING ..... We are both living together and have been since November of 2013 here in Malta , Please keep me updated on any progress you receive , and I will do the same , seeing we are in the same boat ! Thanks :-[
 
Can someone please clarify this for me ... Got approved as sponsor in Early March Fild transferred to Paris , Have known I was able to sponsor since March 4th 2016 Online application status has never changed on either sponsorship side or permanent Resident side since then , Checked a few minutes ago and seen that sponsorship side has changed from in process to Decision Made ! What does this mean , and why would they even update that since I already knew I was able to sponsor !!!!???!!! ???

Hello Marlg, they are very slow in updating the ecas. I received notice of things before it was updated online as well. The only good thing that you can take from the DM change that you have seen online is that they are looking into your file. Hope you hear something more soon!

Ohhh how exciting!!! :D If you have DM already, you will surely be there by then!! Declare it in your mind and believe it with all your heart!!
We are on the last part as well, waiting for DM any day now and we plan to be there by Christmas ;)
 
Yes!!! Very Excited I was about to go and send home another dress .... Lol We don't have DM on my husbands application , they only updated the sponsorship side , why I have no Idea ? I'm trying so very hard to stay positive , but it's very hard .... Wishing you all the best ... Inshallah !!! You will be there for Christmas ... That sure would be the Greatest Christmas present for us , I'm not expecting it though :'(

We successfully completed our interview on Sept 26, but they told us we have to wait until
background security checks are completed, and they wouldn't give a timeline on how long that might take.
Everything is passed for Eligibility. Just waiting final security checks.

Oh wow how did it go? Was it long ?
 
How long does your application usually be in process until they request an Interview or additional documents ,if it's required or can they ask for these at any time ? ANYONE GOT ANY INSIGHT ON THIS ?

The interview was an hour. It was not easy. We provided extra information and documentation and that made a critical difference for us.

Great news!!! COPR came in Oct. 20th!!!!
My husband's PR was approved on Sept. 30th :D The letter was sent out from the Paris office to our Immigration Lawyer in Canada
on the Oct. 11th and was received by him on Oct. 20th.
Our application was received on March 29th, 2016.
Now to pack and tie up loose ends to leave Spain to start our next chapter in Canada!!
We hope to be in there to celebrate Christmas with my family this year!! :D

Looks like Paris office applications are moving along!!
