Parents Visitor Visa -- Fathers name doesn't match on documents.

Hey All,

I am filling out visitor's ( TRV ) application for my parents, I noticed that my father's name is misspelled on my passport. "Dilip" all of his documents have "Dileep".

Now I am finding it difficult to prove that he is my parent using my passport.
what should I do in this case? ( Note that this mistake is consistent across all of his and my documents )

Will an affidavit work?
