Parents super visa

I applied for my parents super visa on February 9 online. Medical done on February 16 and approved. My mother got passport submission request on April 9 and she got her visa but my father’s application is still in process under background check though he is a businessman. Can anybody tell me why it’s taking so long and if it’s a normal?

Does the process (after Biometrics) completed 37 days processing time?
If yes, probably you can fill a CIC Webform or if present in Canada, call the Customer Support to get better insight on the case.
If no, my best guess would be to wait till 37 days completed.

Yes Sir biometrics done on February 16. I will call them after being a representative. Any other idea why it’s taking so long?

Has there been any visa rejection in past in your father's file? Or is he have extensive travel history? Nobody would know the exact reason, but them.

Yes they both have been refused few years back for not satisfying the visa officer that they will leave Canada after their stay. But I guess that was due to improper documentation because they didn’t provided their taxation documents and any other assets that time.
