Hello everyone,

I know that in 2020, CIC release the "lottery" system for Parents Sponsorship Program and it stopped in 2021. Now there hasn't been any news regarding when the applications will be open again or any new updated system will be implemented.

I tried googling the news everywhere but can't find any.

If there's anyone that are updated with the news and know anything, please let me know.

There was actually a draw in 2021 but they limited it to applicants who had submitted expressions of interest in 2020 and had not been selected.

IRCC has indicated that applications will again be accepted this year. There is no information at this time on when the program will reopen this year.

It feels like it's so hard to apply for parents sponsorship.

Target is 25,000 and the program is extremely over subscribed every year as it is one of the most popular programs. No announcement on format.

If there was to be an announcement , I assume that they will make it on CIC website first ?
