Hi,
My parents received medical request for Parents Sponsorship recently.
Currently they are on Super Visa in Canada. They had completed their medicals for their SuperVisa while in India.
My dad is a heart patient. So additional tests were requested while in India. He completed it and Supervisa got approved.
We received request to undergo medicals for Parents Sponsorship.
I was not aware that medicals is valid for 12 months as mentioned in this link (can't post link. here's the content from CIC website).
Medical certificates for applicants who pass a medical examination in or outside Canada are valid for twelve months from the date of the last medical assessment of an applicant’s file by a medical officer and/or delegated staff.
So we did medicals again for my dad. I did mention to the doctor that tests were done in India 3 months back.
Now there is another request to do some additional tests.
Dear applicant,
This refers to your application for permanent residence / temporary residence in Canada. Further medical information is required before a decision can be reached. Details have been sent to your e-Medical file regarding the medical information required. Please return to see the panel physician who performed your immigration medical examination or to another e-Medical enabled panel physician.
When i called the doctor's office to request to link the previous results in eMedical, I was told to come in for consultation (+ I am being told to pay consultation fees). Not sure if we will be asked to do the additional tests again. My Dad is old and i don't want him to go through the tests again if the old tests are valid. But I am not able to find much guidance.
1) I tried calling CIC (help centre) to see if they can link the old tests in eMedicals but the menu says parents sponsorship application information will only be online. Only Spousal sponsorship seems to direct to an Agent. But i even tried and call gets cut off after some time.
What number should i reach to link old medical tests for my dad. Feeling helpless and don't know whom to reach.
2) If the call centre option doesn't work, should i request the doctor to link the old eMedicals test or Do i go through the tests again?
Can you please advise on what i should do?
Thanks
