hey thatz good atleast we know they are still working on them .. im still waiting for mine .. dont know how long itz gona take
did they mention any time limit for approval or you got approval letter as well ?

i sent my papers in may 28 recieved aor july 15.

Just check the online status.. it read We received your application to sponsor ......... on April 7, 2009.


We sent you a letter on December 3, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I called CIC call center as i could not wait to recieve the letter to know what is in it. they said it is positive.

I checked e-cas this morning and there are now two lines
Sponsorship line and Permanent resident status are both reading Application Received before it was showing not available. Can anyone tell me what this means
Do it means that I am going to get first stage approval soon

Yes that means your sponsership has been approved or is in que.. mine read sponsership appliocation status .. Decision made .. PR application status read now application recieved before it read status not available.

thank for your response. I checked ecas today and it went beck to one line with application received in both places. That change had to have taken place late last night or today since i kept checking all night last night. Does CiC work on weekend?
Well Ihope it will change real soon.

Please somebody help me in this. I applied for my my parents PR4 years before and recently I got the email from New delhi office to send some additional documents, do the medicals and send the passports to them. Now at this time they both are in canada. So is it possible their file can be processed here in Canada or they have to go back to India or we can just mail the passports to new delhi with other forms.
Please tell me if we have the options of getting visa here in canada without going to India.

You were very correct I just got off the phone with CIC call center agent who told me that my approval was granted today and that I should expect a letter in the mail by next week.
I am very relieved that the first stage approval was granted before the year's end. :-* :-*

Application: October 26 2009
Request for Additional document: March 30, 2012
Document sent June 6, 2012
completed letter AOR July 7, 2012

you should LVO delhi, and ask them , par current indian law you can not mail a passport in or out of the country
