Hello,

I have filled out IMM 5770 for authorization to pay the fee using my credit card.
But If you make the payment on-line using your visa card and attach the receipt would that cause problems and possibly have the application rejected??

Thanks.

Can you make payments online for parents sponsorship? I dont think so, or atleast I'm not aware of this option.

This is from the information guide:

Step 3. Pay the Fees
Fee

Use the fee table in the Fee Payment Form – for Sponsors of Parents and Grandparents (IMM 5770) (PDF, 566 KB) to calculate the total amount of processing fees to be paid (all fees are in Canadian dollars). Processing Fees for the principal applicant and all accompanying family members must be included with this application. The Right of Permanent Residence fee will not be collected at this time. CIC will request it at a later date.

Payment method options

Only payment by certified cheque or credit card will be accepted using the Fee Payment Form – for Sponsors of Parents and Grandparents (IMM 5770) (PDF, 566 KB). Payment by credit card must be authorized for the total amount of processing fees required for the principal applicant and all accompanying family members. The credit card used must continue to be valid for at least nine months after the date on which the application is submitted.

Hello,
I tried to pay on line and it will allow this.
I think that since there are only 5000 Parent Sponsorships available it would make things easier to just return the incomplete applications or the ones that were too late.
If you prepaid then CIC would just have to refund everyone who did not qualify.
My thoughts so I think I better not pre-pay.
It may upset them a little.
