parents sponsor

hi everyone, does anyone knows how much time it takes for parents immigration. my brother is canadian national and want to apply for parents.
any specific requirement for parents. just wanted to check if parents immigration is possible these days or people just keep on waiting for the turn.

Stage 1, sponsor approval is currently taking 49 months
Stage 2 depends on the VO http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-parents.asp

is there any other way to get parents visa or this is the only valid way to do it.

This is the only way if you wish to sponsor them.

If they are eligible, perhaps they could apply as skilled workers.
