Hello. After the application of parent sponsorship was sent in 2020, my family income dropped from the minimum required for a family of 4 to half the required for a family of 5 (we welcomed a new baby). The immigration officer asked about our family income in the last 3 years which was below the minimum (mainly due to COVID). Does that mean that the application will be rejected. Is there anything that we can do to increase our chances ?

You know this will happened when you submit it in 2020. They always asked about family income for the last 3 years. Why didn't you keep your income level above the minimum? When you got pregnant, why not get a second job or additional investment income to earn more money? There is a lot of planning.

There is a download application button below Parent Program 2025 to view what you submitted.

Did CIC ask you to submit additional documents to support your income recently after you submitted this year? Chances are low if you could not meet the minimum income requirements. Any other unclaimed income? Even from overseas?

Love that you are essentially asking if they committed tax fraud.

You need to show the last 3 years, so 2022, 2023 and 2024. I hope your income was higher for these years as COVID was 5 years ago.
You also mentioned the immigration officer asked about your income? I don't think they are reviewing the applications just yet.

2022 was also considered one of the COVID years. Some countries back then still required people to carry their COVID immunization record when entering their countries.

Hi, I am in the final stage of submitting the PGP application and wanted to confirm a few things. If someone could please help -

- IMM5669/ Background/declaration form - If the parent has been visiting us in Canada over the past few years, with visits lasting from 1 month to 5 months. Do these need to be recorded on this IMM5669 form? PS: I have added this info IMM5562 - Supplementary Travel info form

- IMM5669/ Background/declaration form - Parents Education - They only studied till metric/Grade 10, do this need to be recorded on the form, under the section C?

- Passports: Do we scan and upload all pages with stamps and info or just the info pages? Also, parents had their PP renewed so do we include the old PP scanned pages as well?

Thank you!

Sponser needs to provide birth certificate to show relationship with parents.

I have but mother name is not mentioned fully (Just her name, without Family name and husband name) and
spelling mistake in father middle name(Family and His name is correct).

Is there anything can be done or its fine to provide like this?
Should I also provide my indian surrender passport in which all good with explanation letter ?

Does Lump-sum payments count as income under Low Income Cut Off ? I am applying for PGP 2025:

- My Wife left her job at a Canadian hospital in Oct 2023
- As per one of her 2024 T4A, she received approx 10K as "Lump-sum payments - line 13000" from "Healthcare of Ontaio Pension Plan"
- As per our accountant advice earlier, she has filed her 2024 taxes considering this as income and no onjections was raised by CRA

My doubt is:
- Will CIC raise any objections to this income in 2024 if we are counting this under LICO?

Hello here! My mother did bachelors and masters in correspondence/distance, meaning she was still a homemaker while she pursued her education. How do I explain this?
In resume shall I mention from 18 years old until present as a home maker
Or
I mention the years she was enrolled to the program as a student?

Appreciate your help!
