I thought the FINAL step would be passing medical exams. Now we are waiting on something called "security checks"? I have never even seen anyone post about that. I was sure our passport requests would be soon.

Do you think they process by date? I submitted the application July 31 2024. Medical Passed Aug 7 2027. Pre Arrival Letter Feb 20 2026. Waiting for next step since then. It's been almost 2 month,

Can't say for sure. My 1 application was July 21 and it got approved in Jan 2026. The other application was July 27 and it got approved in Apr 2026. But, the biometric and medical request for both were at the same date. They just allowed 1 to expire and had to be redone.

The security check happens yes, but there is no way to find out when it is completed. Only after the passport request is made, they receive it and stamp it with PR visa, the security checks show up as cleared.

Ours is very similar to this. We had our medical request on New Year's Eve. Completed medicals on January 15. We have heard nothing since then!

Received 2nd Pre Arrival Letter in the Junk Mail on Apr 7 2026. Dated on Letter Mar 30 2026

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding passport submission for my parents’ PR application through VFS.

The passport request letter is issued under the main applicant’s name, but there are 2 applicants (main applicant + dependent).

I’m a bit confused about the courier request form:

1. Should I select 1 applicant or 2 applicants in the courier request form?
2. Do I need to send two separate envelopes (one for each applicant), or can I send both passports in a single envelope?

The IRCC letter also mentions that all required documents must be submitted in one single package, which is adding to my confusion.

STEP 3: Prepare your documents You must submit together: 1. One copy of this letter. 1. Passport(s) OR photocopy(ies) of passport(s), as explained in Step 2. 2. Two (2) photos of yourself and of each accompanying family member. Photos MUST meet the precise specifications found in the link below or in Appendix A at the end of this letter. If you submit photos that do not meet the exact specifications, your package will be returned to you (www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EBe.pdf)

All required documents must be submitted in one single package

Also, I have already booked the courier request under the main applicant’s name and paid for 1 applicant, assuming I could send both passports in the same pickup and envelope.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Will this cause any issue, or should I rebook for 2 applicants?

Would really appreciate guidance from anyone who has gone through this process recently.

How long it takes to get stamp from high commission Delhi? Its been around 2 weeks and my tracker is still showing record not found.
