It says, You passed medical exam on April 10 2025. Does this mean this is for both principal applicant and dependent (my mother) or principal applicant only? Can someone confirm.

No they did not have military or government experience.
Background check has been ongoing even before medical.

number of family member is sponsor + principle applicant + dependent. So it should be 3 and you used the correct number to link it.
Not sure if the status means to both PR and dependent for medical. hopefully others can answer.

My dad had several years of conscript (the lowest level as stand guard at the gate and not involved in any wars) almost 60 years ago. And then he had only one job as electrician until retirement (almost 20 years ago). Not a member in Chinese communist party, No travel history.

Yes She complained the request for declaration and photo. Then she received the electronic Copr. It’s been over 30 days now and the status is still -‘In Review with IRCC’. Can anyone help me with the estimated number of days i should be expecting the hard copy?

Can IRCC reject a dépendant after P1? My mom got her P2& ECOPR but I didn’t receive any updates after P1..

If a dependent is ineligible, they have to inform the sponsor right, they can’t just brush it over after P1?

Hello, we applied for my in-laws back in Dec 2022 after we got invite to apply. There was no acknowledgement until July of 2023 and then we had a medical and police certificate request in July 2024, medical completed in August of 2024. Then in November 2024 they asked for police certificate from all address in the past which we got and provided. That was last year...we are now less than 2 weeks away from medical expiration and no word at all. Even had an MP involved in May 2025 who said there is no update, just waiting on background and criminal checks etc....anyone had a similar timeline/experience? There is no military background or anything, pretty sure Abu Dhabi office is processing file.

Yes, several years of conscript almost 60 years ago in China. Only one job as electrician until retirement. Not a member of communist party and no travel history.

I searched online, several years of conscript in other countries, security screening is around one year. But for parents from China, security screening is way too long
