GC key says in progress for background check. But maybe it will update once they received requested info.

Why do they do background check? Is this a random pick or for all applicants parents?

My parents in law received medical request this morning. They have given us 30 days to complete it, from today. Currently we are waiting for police certificate from a country, need to submit them in 2 weeks time from today.

As long as you didn’t receive EI from unemployment. If so that would need to be deducted. LICO table posted for PGP include the 30%. You should know whether you met LICO for 2019 if you submitted an application in 2020.

Received medical requests for my parents this morning. Coincidentally they just completed their med check for VR two days ago, I think I can use the same exam for them and send out an explanation letter

hey I saw your signature that IRCC confirmed they received your PCC documents at a later date after your submission. Did you send a web form inquiry asking them to confirm? or they spontaneously confirmed you with any notification?
