Hi Friends,
I would like to sponsor PR for my mom and dad under parents and grandparents program PGP. Similarly my husband would like to sponsor for his mom alone. His dad is not alive.
Need clarification for the below questions
1. should we fill separate interest to sponsor for our own parents and can we both be co signer for both the interest to sponsor form ?
2.Or can he be the primary applicant for both the parents and fill two different forms and I can be the co signer . Will this work ?

please advise anyone who experienced the same situation

Thanks

1. Separate interests to sponsor for your own parents. Yes, you can be the co-signer for each other.
2. No, not possible.

Can you guide for the below questions as well .

We both earn more than the minimum requirement. However this year 2020 I started my maternity leave and whole year I’m not returning to work until 2021 June . And receiving maternity benefits from the govt. When I submit the interest to sponsor form along with my co signer ( my spouse) , will I be eligible since he is earning more that the minimum eligibility requirement? Will both our income be considered together ? I’m worried since I will be the primary applicant ?

IRCC has reduced the minimum requirement for this year as they understand that due to covid, not everyone is at their financial peak.

@Hchadda will IRCC consider both the primary applicant and co sponsers income to satisfy the minimum requirement eligiblity ? Or it’s just the primary applicant income

As long as you and your husband's income together for each year cover 5 people (assuming you have no children), you are fine.

Also need clarification regarding this below query, if you can guide me
I know we need to show minimum income requirement for each of the last 3 years. In 2018 , me and my husband worked in USA. we became permanent residents since sept 2018 and I started working September 2018 in Canada and my husband did his landing and went back to USA . He started working from May 2019 in Canada . until then he was in USA) .
However we both filed taxes for 2018 in Canada and declared our global income from USA . So are we eligible in order to show the minimum requirement? For the year 2018 ?

As long as the income shown on your 2018 NOA meets LICO, then you should be fine.

Lottery. All of the information is on the IRCC web site. Recommend you read through this in detail if you plan to apply.

I’m sponsoring my mom and dad , should I fill two separate interest to sponsor form for each one of them. Or just a single form is enough where I can add both my parents details ?

I couldn’t get this info on the website , can you please advise if you know
