Parent sponsorship income question

Hi,
I just wanted to ask about the income requirement for sponsoring the parents. So I should be getting this income while I am employed by any company or they will consider my income if I am self employed and paying taxes?

Income is income as you declare in your income declaration every year to Canada Revenue Agency.

Also has to be Canadian income and the income level must continue under the PR is approved not just for 3 years.
