hi Guys,

My mom had medical test done yesterday where her BP was somehow 200/120... her BP was couple of days back 165/110, not sure what happened during the exam.

now they have asked to do additional cardiology tests and referred to a cardiologist.

Guys please advise what will happen now, will my mom be rejected due to this ?

thanks,

It depends what the secondary tests reveal.

FYI - a BP of 165/100 isn't good (although obviously not as bad as 200/120). Regardless of what the results are, she should have this looked into asap to see what's happening.

Agreed. 165/100 is already in the high range:

Good luck!

thanks Seniors Scylla and Ponga,

we have already consulted a separate cardiologist and he has recommend some tests, he has given some medicines to control the BP now.

in any case we have booked the appointment with the immigration recommended Cardiologist as the damage is anyways done , she is now recommended for additional tests including ceratine, ECG etc and etc.. so lets see what happens.

Her BP somehow rose to 200 today, its normally around 150-160 on the high side.

I dont know what will result from this.

quick question, Do you guys recommend few days of break and rest for my mom and taking some BP medicines before we consult the cardiologist recommended by Panel Physician for immigration exams or will it make no difference?

please advise senior, desperately need this info.

thakns,

I think you should try to honestly explain that "separate cardiologist" that your mom desperately needs to pass all tests and then ask him to give your mother some pills and recommendations. And of course try to calm your mother because when she is worrying her blood pressure is rising. Good luck to you and your mom!

Won't happen. (Sounds like you're not that familiar with how the medicals work?) The cardiologist his mother is seeing has been specifically chosen by CIC to provide a real assessment of her current health condition to allow CIC to determine if she is going to fall under excessive demand.

I mean that there should be some 'tricks' and meds (pills that could lower the blood pressure numbers for few hours) that could help a person to pass an exam and that 'separate' cardiologist could give those meds and the advice how to successfully pass the exams.
By 'separate' cardiologist I mean another independent cardiologist (not connected to CIC).

I've read reachmenow's post in another thread and it looks like there was a kind of rush with a medical exam because he didn't realise that the deadline for medicals was 30 days. His mother was worried and her blood pressure went high.

Even her usual blood pressure is too high. With a top number of 200, I'm surprised they didn't send her to the hospital as an emergency.

She should really be under treatment. If she is already taking medicine daily, and her bp is still so high, her doctor should be trying different medicines, or more medicines.

Once she is on medication, or medications that can lower her bp to a healthier number, she probably will not 'fail' the medical. Having high blood pressure is common, and can usually be treated well with medication. Unless there is something else wrong, she could well be considered eligible even with high blood pressure.

Thank you so much seniors for your response

We have. The appointment with immigration cardiologist
Tomorrow.
There is nothing we can change in short term so we will go ahead with the immigration consultation

The external cardiologist has also given some medicines to calm her BP, she is taking those. He did not refer her to an Emergebcy as by that time BP was 180/100
And has asked for some tests to be done ASAP
So we are doing that now.

We will now have her on treatment for BP visa or no visa with regular follow ups

pR is crucial but her life is more so at this point we will do our best as we can and leave everything to GOD

Thanks for your support !

Hi Luda345

Yes this could be a factor and I am hoping that her BP was like this due to this reason of urgency and worry
I hope the cardiologist will give her good report before this exam
We have given her couple of days of rest so I am hoping for the best

Hi guys
Thanks for your support !
Wanted To share the final results of my mom.

My mom finished her medicals with additional cardio referral and her online status shows medical passed
Her BP with cardio referral was 180/80

Thanks
