Parent sponshorship ( Very worried, Please help!!)

I sent my parent sponsorhip application to Mississuaga since May 2010. It's been almost 9 months now, no acknowledgement letter. Is this normal?. Has any gone through this before. Please, I am very worried. What should I do

The CIC website says this for parent sponsorship:

"Issuing acknowledgement letters for applications received on December 1, 2010"

Although they list the sponsor assessment as taking 41 months ("working on applications received on December 22, 2010")

1) The first bit still means they should have technically received an acknowledgment letter by now.

2) Nope, that's for spouses. For parents and grandparents, it says "(working on applications received on August 20, 2007)".

Unfortunately, I don't know enough about parent sponsorships to say anything past that. Hopefully someone more experienced can chime in soon.

It's normal, unfortunately. Parental sponsorships take a long time.
