Parent processing Time At Islamabad

Hi All

I have some question about the time line of my parent+(dependants) at ISLAMABAD CHC. Here is the following detail.

Application Approved at Mississuaga : 14-AUG-2007.
Application Submit at Islamabad : 23-Jan-2008.
AOR : 14-Mar-2008.

I have two brothers and one sister. at the time of submission application in canada my one brother was 22+ and second brother 20+ and sister was 17 years. I got approval from Mississuaga and they asked me to send the application kit to my family to back home.

My family mother, brothers and sister submitted the application with all original documents. all my brothers and sister were fulltime students and we provide all original documents.

Now 22 months already gone and we have not heard anything yet from ISLAMABAD.

Any info for time line processing now.

Thanks this link off course shows you the time line. But in the reality does it really take the same amount of time.

I think there are very few cases in Islamabad for Parents sponsorship? but the question is what they are doing for last two year. once they received the application and put them in storage thats it.

Thorncliffe: Although I don't know the exact figures, I'm sure that there are many parental sponsorship applications through Islamabad.

If you check the Islamabad visa office website, they list the predicted processing time for parental applicants as 36 months. That is for average, uncomplicated cases. Complicated cases will of course take longer. I believe that that time is from the time that you submit your application to Mississauga. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/pakistan/visas/processing-traitement.aspx?lang=eng

The link that Karlshammar gave you above are for actual cases processed through Islamabad over the past year, so should give a very accurate estimate of processing times. The average timeline is from 15-27 months. That is from the time that Islamabad receives your application.

You can also view timelines for individual cases through trackitt.com. See: http://www.trackitt.com/canada-immigration-trackers/family-class and select "islamabad" as the visa office and "Parents and grandparents" under family class. But keep in mind that your case may be completely different and require a different processing time. That's why it is better to look at average figures.

thanks for your reply. okay i have submitted application here in mississauga in June-2005 so i can expect next year i will get something from them. Becuase just approval took in canada about 25 month.

Now application is in islamabad since Jan-2008. almost two years. I am worried about my brother who is already 28 years now. We submitted the original educational documents to prove that he is studying. since islamabad did not ask us yet anything that they have any problem with our case.

Do they review the file when the processing time they are mentioning have completed? And send you the inquiry or call interview. Or Do they check all the files and documents first when they received the application from the applicant if they think something needs more to confirm?

If a long time has passed they will check again. I know one applicant here on this forum who sponsored a family member originally met the income requirement when he applied, but years later when it was time for processing they asked for proof of income again, and the member didn't have it...

Thanks for your reply. How my brother can submit the updated documents Since FEB-2008 he has completed his two semester? Can i send registered email to them with our FILE ID.
