Use of a Representative [IMM 5476] (PDF, 648.31 KB) September 2015
Part 3: Information guides
Sponsored relatives must follow specific instructions depending on where they live. To find their region, use the list below.
United States [IMM 3910] (PDF, 425.15 KB)

Includes instructions for:
United States of America, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Saint-Pierre and Miquelon

Do I do #1 and and then have to do the region checklist as well?

Do I go by the region checklist for the documents I need? or do I go by document checklist IMM 5491?
There is alot more to the IMM5491 then the region checklist. I just want to make sure that I am not sending in too much or too little.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORTS- Do I send both a copy of mine and his passport?
IDENTITY AND CIVIL STATUS DOCUMENTS- I have our marriage certificate and he has been previously married. Do I put his divorce in there?

The reason I am asking is that the beginning asks for income and all that jazz but the IMM 5491 doesnt ask for any of that.
If anyone isnt confused by my question any help would be greatly appreciated :

Thanks

Hi

You do both. IMM5491 is the sponsor checklist; it covers the sponsor requirements and the general applicant requirements. The other is the applicant checklist, with more specific applicant requirements.

The applicant must submit the documents requested on the regional checklist; his passport copy, your marriage certificate and his divorce certificate must be included. As the sponsor, you submit what is requested on IMM5491.

I don't know what you mean in regards to income. IMM5491 asks for your NOA and proof of employment.

thanks so much, Ive been reading and reading and reading it just seems to all mush together after a while
